Job opening: XSLT programmer for manuscript metadata

Torsten Schassan-2
Dear TEI community

We feel that that job opening below will certainly be of interest to
some of you.

In close cooperation with the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (SBB), the
Leipzig University Library (UBL) and the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek
München (BSB), the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel (HAB) will
implement a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) to
create a nation-wide web-based gateway for medieval and modern
manuscripts. This gateway will serve as main system for german cultural
institutions with manuscript holdings and will operate using
state-of-the-art web technologies, interoperable image and metadata
based on linked data principles (IIIF) and modern search engine systems.
Import and export of TEI encoded manuscript descriptions will be
essential as well as internal data exchange routines and connections
towards providers of authorial data.

We are looking for an experienced XSLT programmer who shows a high
degree of initiative in tackling the tasks and who is willing and able
to participate in the technological conception and software design.
Project work will include strong international cooperation with
institutions working on revelvant technologies and open source applications.

The part-time position (50%) at the Herzog August Bibliothek is to be
filled from September 1, 2018. Salary group will be TV-L E13. Please
find informal information on the position (in German only, sorry) as
well as the link to the official job advertisement here:

Applications with the usual documents are requested by 31 July 2018.

Best regards,
Torsten Schaßan
