University of Lisbon – PhD Scholarship in Digital Scholarly Editing

Scientific area: Textual Studies; Digital Scholarly Editing.

The School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon is launching a tender for the selection of one PhD student in Textual Criticism, who will benefit from a research grant funded by FCT – the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology. The work plan will be developed at CLUL ( and must consist of a digital scholarly edition, involving skills in XML-TEI, HTML and CSS, Perl, Python or Fortran, as well as the use of automatic collation tools.

The duration of the grant is annual, renewable up to a maximum of four years.
Allowance: 1064 euros/month (net amount).
