Dear Colleague:                         22/11/90
   The next cycle of work in the TEI Project will include a
concentrated effort to develop standards geared to the needs
of scholars of literature.
   I am writing on behalf of a Work Group charged with setting up
the committee structure to carry this out.  Input from the community
of potential users of these standards will be particularly valuable
to us at this time.
   Please fill out the following questionnaire and return it to me
by electronic mail at [hidden email], or by paper post to
Paul A. Fortier, Department of French and Spanish, University of
Manitoba, Winnipeg, Man., R3T 2N2, CANADA.
   If you know of any colleagues who might be affected or interested
by this topic, please pass a copy of this letter along to them.
   We need to receive your responses no later than December 10, 1990.
